For our 2008 Potluck Tournament Sean and Plummer John led the construction of a wall to go around the court in the middle of King Pool. The wall also extended to the top of the middle-shallow slope. In 2009 we added walls for the curved slope from the middle to the deep (see King_Pool - Wall Outlay.jpg and mid-deep-slope-with-angles.jpg); we had walls on 7 out of 8 sides of our two courts. For 2010 Tom led the adaption of these walls to fit in the City College pool. This involved measuring the pool to make sure it would fit and removing the curved sections for the flat bottom. The files with names starting cratescc document the locations of the walls and crates in the pool. The 2011 and 2012 potluck tournaments were also held at City College so the walls didn't need much changed. In the Oct 2012 we hosted PCCs at Los Gatos High School. For that tournament Tom led construction of a 4 wall 12" high court reusing some PVC from the old San Jose State University courts. Here's a map showing how to setup those walls: SFUWH LGHS wall assembly instructions. In March 2014 Tom coordinating getting 2 courts with 6" high walls at City College for our potluck tournament. In Feb 2014 Joey and John P assembled a 6" high court at City College for our potluck tournament. In April 2016 we're going to use the same configuration as 2015. |
